Mrs Lowry and Son
Mrs Lowry and Son – featuring Dame Venessa Redgrave and Timothy Spall 2019 – 16 weeks. As with all low-cost features, the challenge is ensuring maximum use of every facility, avoiding cost overages and delivering quality content.
Through creative use of our purpose-built sound stage that has a moveable overhead pantograph lighting rig and large infinity coves, the production was able to maximise every inch of studio space, building 4 completely different sets.
The infinity cove providing the perfect blank canvas for skilled scenic artists to paint the iconic Salford backdrop that could be easily front lit from the overhead lighting rig avoiding the need for high rollers on the studio floor. The proximity to the dressing rooms and inhouse catering avoided any delays in moving to and from the stage.
